Touch screen robust Scratch Resistant

The top layer of our patented ULTRA glass-film-glass touch screen is a 0.1-mm thick micro glass. Through this micro glass the touch screen becomes scratch-resistant as this glass withstands mechanical stresses very well. A standard polyester surface scratches easily, especially in a dusty industrial environment or when using CNC-controlled machining techniques. The fine metal powder permanently rubs against the polyester, giving it a milky, opaque appearance. The patented ULTRA touch technology is 100-percent resistant to mechanical scratching.

An Even More Robust Micro Glass

On request, we even offer a 0.2-mm thick micro glass layer for extreme operational demands. Doubling the thickness of the glass does not achieve an increase in the scratch resistance. However, it results in a higher impact absorption (vandalism) and increases the thermal resistance, providing significant benefits when welding, flexing and handling liquid metals.
