Touch screen without any wear Durability
The two most important factors influencing the Service Life of an analogue resistive touch sensor are:
- The upper touch polyester scratches to the point of becoming illegible
- The conductive ITO layer on the bottom face of the PET film gets damaged
250 Million Touches
Touch Screens with Glass Surface
The reason why other resistive touch screens fail is the the amount of flexing the ITO coating undergoes and the subsequent breakage on the bottom face of the polyester. The laminated micro glass of an ULTRA touch screen distributes this pressure on a larger surface, thus reducing the point load. In an endurance test, we easily achieved 250 million touches per point without any interference.
