GFG touch screen glass-film-glass Design
Touch Screen Design
The upper layer of our GFT touch screens is a very thin glass. Despite its thickness of only 0.1 mm, this glass is very impact and scratch-resistant as well as watertight. This way, we combine the resistive (pressure-based) technology with the benefits of glass.
Patented GFG Touch Screen
For more than 8 years, we successfully produce the patented GFG touch screen design. GFG is the abbreviation for glass-film-glass. In 2001, the GFG touch screen patent was registered and granted by the patent office. The inventor was Albert David.
Advantages of the GFG Touch Screen
The hard glass surface of the GFG ULTRA touch screen itself contributes to the advantages: Impact and scratch-resistance as well as watertightness are included in the characteristics of glass. Apart from that, glass is transparent and does not impair the brilliance of the picture at all. By combining resistive technology with the surface of glass, an extremely robust touch is created with the GFG ULTRA, which perfectly combines the advantages of other technologies with those of resistive technology. This includes, that resistive technology functions in an extremely stable manner and can be operated with any pressure-based device. In sensitive environments, such as clinical/medical applications or in the industrial environment, high reliability and absolutely individual operability with different devices (finger, glove, pen, tool, etc.) are most essential.
Advantages:
- Hard glass surface
- Scratch-resistant design
- Watertight touch screen
- Chemical stability
- Extended service life
