Many manufacturers are thinking about how to integrate these new technologies even further into our life cycles. There are now numerous companies specializing in interior design that are trying to integrate tablet-friendly features into conventional everyday products.
Touch screens for furniture
Several years ago, companies such as Pizza Hut, Woolite and Kate Spade had the idea of getting the most out of touchscreen furniture for their industry. While touchscreen applications were previously designed for solo use, the idea of making them available to several users on large surfaces in public came up early on. For example, as tables that offer people the opportunity to order food or explore new products.
Touch-based interior design examples
A few years ago, the manufacturer Hammacher Schlemmer transformed a wooden side table into a large, 32-inch touchscreen. This allows several people to view content such as maps or images together.
And then there is the Victorinox knife block, which is designed for 13 knives and also functions as a tablet holder.
