Škoda Vision E with futuristic touchscreen equipment
Touchscreens in the automotive industry

Like many well-known car manufacturers, Skoda has also equipped its newer models with a central 8" color touchscreen (see photo). With the previous Bolero / Amundsen radio navigation system, both driver and front passenger can control the most important functions.

Dedicated touchscreen for passengers

The new Škoda Vision E of the VW offshoot will be presented at the Shanghai Auto Show 2017 and provides exciting insights into the new interior of the car, which is expected to be released in 2018. The electrically powered vehicle will not only have its own screen for infotainment in the cockpit. Passengers also have their own touchscreens for information and entertainment.

The monitor for the front passenger is housed in the dashboard. The passengers sitting in the back control their touchscreen panel integrated into the backrests of the front seats in order to be able to call up personal settings as well as smartphone information and data.
