Emerging technologies in 2016
Touchscreen Technology News

New technologies are always on the rise faster than previously assumed. Last year, for example, 3D printers were used for medical purposes for the first time. For organic materials, which turned out to be lighter, cheaper and more flexible, the first practical applications were found. And drugs that use nanotechnology were first developed in medical laboratories.

It's no secret that understanding the impact and application of new technologies is critical to their early deployment. Often they are powerful tools that should be used in good time for our daily purposes.

Top 10

There is again a recent report that lists the emerging technologies for 2016. Among them, the ITO substitute graphene can also be found in 4th place. The full list of technologies of interest for this year is as follows:

  1. Nanosensors and the Internet of Nano Things
  2. Next-generation batteries
  3. The Blockchain
  4. 2D materials, among which graphene is probably the most well-known material.
  5. Autonomous vehicles
  6. Miniature models of human organs on chips (organs-on-chip)
  7. Perovskite Solar Cells
  8. Open to all ecosystems
  9. Optogenetics
  10. System Metabole Engineering
