The quality of the seals and adhesive joints are of paramount importance for the operational reliability, durability and robustness of touch systems.

It is important that the seals and adhesive joints meet the specific requirements of an application and the expected environmental conditions.

In addition to the selection of suitable sealing and adhesive materials as well as the precision of the application, the manufacturing processes and the associated

is crucial for a high-quality connection.

Precise dispensers for exact results

Interelectronix leaves nothing to chance and uses only high-quality materials for seals and adhesive joints.

A permanently consistent and identically applied amount of foams or adhesives is required to produce high-quality gaskets or laminations.

A correct and constant dosing quantity as well as a process-reliable application of different viscous materials is not always an easy task. For example, no air bubbles must form during optical bonding, as these would nullify the desired optical effect.

When bonding the glass surface of a touch screen to a front panel, an important requirement for the process is that the low-viscosity resin does not leak out of the pressing tool in an uncontrolled manner, but at the same time forms a uniform and impermeable barrier.

Our production facilities are equipped with high-precision dispensers that guarantee a constant same application and allow a quick change between point and bead application.

In the case of FIPFG (formed in place foam gasket) sealing systems, for example, this is done via freely programmable robots. Here, the one- or multi-component sealing materials are processed in a mixing and dosing system and applied in the same quantity by special dispensers for high and medium viscosity media.

In addition, all sealing and bonding processes only take place in special clean rooms in order to exclude contamination of the materials during production.

Exact mixing ratio

Interelectronix offers seals and adhesives on both a one-component and two-component basis. Two-component adhesives or foam gaskets are being used more and more frequently in the production of touch panels. A decisive advantage of the two-component fabrics is their rapid curing.

In addition to the dosing accuracy of the quantity to be applied, an exact and process-reliable mixing ratio of the components is decisive for the quality of time-component adhesives. The dosing systems from Interelectronix are equipped with modern mixing heads that ensure that the mixing of the components is precisely maintained during the entire application process.
