Using special processes, the environmental simulation specialists simulate the effects of the various climatic influences over the entire service life of a touchscreen at Interelectronix .

The use of suitable climate testing already in the development phase is a time-saving and cost-effective way to develop high-quality and durable touchscreens and to optimize them optimally for future environmental influences as well as the expected climatic and weather-relevant conditions.

Climatic stress

In the environmental simulation of climatic stress factors, often only applications are thought of that are set up exclusively in outdoor areas, such as parking ticket machines, ATMs or information terminals.

However, climatic stress is also relevant for touchscreens that are used indoors or alternately indoors and outdoors, such as handhelds or touchscreens in crane controls or tractors used in a semi-open environment.

Modern climatic chambers are used to simulate climatic influences, which are specially designed for climatic tests, temperature fluctuations, simulation of weather influences, aging and stress tests. The environmental test chambers used by Interelectronix provide highly precise and reproducible conditions in terms of temperature and humidity.

Climatic tests in our shock, temperature and humidity chambers can be carried out for a

  • Temperature range from -70°C to 180°C
  • Humidity range from 10% to 98% relative humidity
  • Shock range (hot) from 50°C to 220°C
  • Shock range (cold) from -80°C to 70°C
