Also, it is not possible to ensure clean and careful use on the farm, as dirt and dust are unavoidable. The scratch-resistant and robust surface of the ULTRA touchscreens is particularly suitable for use in this harsh environment. While many resistive touchscreens scratch quickly even due to dust and are thus limited in their function, Interelectronix offers the highest scratch resistance and impact resistance with these patented glass-film-glass touchscreens. User-friendly and moisture-resistant touchscreens
ULTRA touchscreens can easily be operated with gloves as it is a purely pressure-based technology. Thus, the touchscreens are universally operable, and contribute to the simple and fast operation of the machines. The borosilicate glass surface of the screen is completely insensitive to dirt or moisture and can therefore be operated without hesitation with oily or dirty fingers. Even in direct contact with moisture, the touch panel is not damaged in the slightest. The microglass surface completely shields the screen from moisture and does not leak over a long period of time, as can be the case with conventional polyester (PET) laminations. ULTRA touchscreens are therefore also safe to clean and disinfect – even chemical cleaning agents do not harm the screen, which is advantageous when it comes into constant contact with dirt and dust in the agricultural environment.
High-quality optical laminations
In addition to the many criteria regarding the durability and ease of use that Interelectronix touchscreens have, it is also important to us to meet the optical requirements. To ensure good visibility, the driver's cabs in tractors and combine harvesters are equipped with large windows - in the case of High Visio cabs even completely glazed - so the integrated touchscreens are often in the sunlight. Accordingly, Interelectronix is developing touchscreens specially designed for readability in sunlight. For our ULTRA touchscreens, we use a very high-quality optical laminate, which enables sharp contrasts and readability of the touchscreen even in direct sunlight.
