IP Protection Codes:

The degrees of protection defined by IP codes refer to the degree of protection of a touchscreen against specific influences such as water, gas, dust or foreign bodies.

All touchscreens can be developed, tested and certified according to the following standards: IP NEMA More information about the IP classification according to the American NEMA standard

Complete tightness against dust, foreign bodies and water

Interelectronix designs custom GFG and PCAP touchscreens that ensure complete tightness against dust, foreign bodies and water (even with steam and high-pressure cleaning) in accordance with the IP69K protection class.

This protection class is particularly in demand in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Shock resistance classifications

IK classifications: IK Rating EN 50102 and IK Rating IEC 62262

In addition to the classification of our touchscreens according to IP protection classes, Interelectronix also offers the possibility of a test procedure for mechanical force - i.e. the determination of the degree of shock resistance.

The classification of the test results in this test procedure is given in IK codes, which are of great importance especially for touchscreens in industrial environments, but also in other industries such as construction.
