Carrier plates made of stainless steel are characterized by a high resistance of the material and offer particularly good protection in harsh areas of application.

PCAP and ULTRA touchscreens are therefore often encased in stainless steel carrier plates, as they have similarly resistant properties as the surfaces of the touchscreens themselves.

Stainless steel is a very robust material that can withstand both thermal and mechanical loads to a high degree. In addition, it is corrosion-resistant, rust-free and has a smooth surface in which no deposits can settle.

Like aluminum carrier plates, stainless steel plates are a reliable, resistant and weight-optimized solution that is ideally suited for use in a harsh working environment such as construction or industrial production, but also in the military sector.

Good acid resistance also allows it to be used in environments exposed to chemicals.

Furthermore, stainless steel has the great advantage of being able to be used without restriction even in high temperature ranges. The material has only a low thermal conductivity and therefore expands only slightly.
